Garden 1 Mark and Catherine Schowalter 206 W Walters Street ![]() These gardeners have a lovely cottage garden with a low fence, maturing plants and flowers bordering their back yard. A larger pond with waterfalls provides a soothing sound near their back door and patio, and a small berm hedges them in a bit of privacy. You'll feel relaxed as you take a step back in time, wandering this garden. Garden 2 Steve and Sue Orvis 761 N Milwaukee Street ![]() These gardeners have a delightful garden perfect for families. See how a back yard can be beautiful even with a play area and how a vegetable garden works lovely as a border garden along a front sidewalk. Flowers, hedges, berries and grasses can all be found gracing this garden. Garden 3 Steve and Ellen Broyles 751 N Milwaukee Street ![]() This husband-and-wife team have spent the past 20 years beautifying both their garden and helping neighbors beautify theirs. You'll start by enjoying the front walk borders of bulbs and perennials and wind your way into their mature backyard garden with trees, vines and custom-built structures. Garden 4 Children's Garden at Harbor Campus 425 W Walters Street (Photo coming soon) In this field on the south end of Harbor Campus (former St. Mary's Hospital), a vegetable garden was started through the Port Washington/Saukville Summer School program and our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) as an initiative to encourage both healthy eating and educate children about where their food comes from. This program started last year and has grown from 23 students to 90 students this year. Meet the teachers and a few of the students willing to show off their new gardens. Garden 5 Deb Anderson 205 S High Street ![]() This gardener and her sister have been bringing back treasures from up north and around the state to add to the garden for years. Rocks, plants and art alike are incorporated into garden beds. This small yard boasts a variety of both sun and shade plants and a vegetable garden that thrives thanks to homemade compost from the "dog house." Garden 6 The Bartelt Residence 313 S Spring Street ![]() This is a hidden treasure in plain sight. While many drive by this home each day, you'll be surprised to see a small train garden careening through this back yard. A delight for the young and young-at-heart, and an attainable inspiration for a new hobby. Perennial Sale The Garden Club will have bargain-priced perennial plants, shrubs and trees for sale. Most of the plants on sale can be seen at their mature size in this garden. The sale runs from 9AM until Noon, and is just down the street from several of the gardens.
