About The Port Washington Garden Club


The Port Washington Garden Club was founded in 1932 to promote gardening here in Port Washington, Wisconsin. A private group, the Club meets in members' homes and strives to beautify our city.  The Club has applied to the IRS for 501(c)(3) not-for-profit status.  The application is pending.

The Club presently counts 31 people as members. Officers are: President: Maggie Barr, Vice-President: Elizabeth O'Connell, Secretary: Pat Baganz and Treasurer: Bruce Barr. All can be reached by writing to the club at:

Where And When Does the Club Meet?

The Club meets in members' homes once a month, usually on the fourth Thursday of the month, but this is up to the host. In the past, meetings were not held in Winter months, but this has recently changed.

How Can I Attend A Meeting?

Meetings are normally for members only because of space restrictions in members' homes. If you would like to attend a meeting because of a particular program or speaker, contact the Club at the above postal or email address and we will try to accommodate you.

How Do I Join?

Contact us and let us know you're interested.  You'll be able to attend a meeting and see how the club operates, and then you can decide whether or not the club is for you.
